Powerfull drama about child sexual abuse, on par with Mystic River and Capturing the Friedmans, and as disturbing as those. It has also some very good insighs on the nature of homossexuality and alien abduction frenzy. Was the boy already homossexual when he was abused, as his memories make us thing, or is it similar to the other boy's creating the alien thing to deal with it?

I have a friend who is a homossexual and a good buddhist practicioner, and he understands everything about things not having an inherent nature, but anyway, sometimes he talks as he belives homossexuality has inherent existence. Of course this is a delicate subject, because in this case "not having a choice" is what makes us think about homossexuality as a non-moral matter (and this is a way to avoid judgement). But in the buddhist view we always have some kind of choice, although most of the time karma compells us. I believe buddhism has the view that heterossexuality or homossexuality are karmic inclinations, not permanent, and that they sometimes do have a moral implication¹, although it is mostly irrelevant where you attachment lies, since it is attachment.
